Bell Retains Leslie Dallas Memorial |
Glenn Bell retained the Leslie Dallas memorial trophy in the National Hot Rods at Tullyroan on Sunday for the second day of their speedweekend. Other class wins went to Dan Shannon winning the ProStocks Irish Masters, Jay Clyde won the Ninja Karts Golden Helmet, Richard Stewart and Shane Murray won the Tullyroan Challenge Cup for the Lightning Rods and 2.0 Hot Rods respectively.

British Titles for Casey & Haugh |
To follow a recent trend of father & son title winners in National Hot Rods Dave Casey won the National Hot Rod British title at Aghadowey Oval on Saturday night, a few years after his father Tom won it at Ballymena. Tom incidentally also took a heat win the in the 2.0 Hot Rods. Steven Haugh took victory in a lively ProStock British Championship race.

Jackson's Euro at Tullyroan |
Day two of the DMC Summer Speedweekend and the action moved along to Tullyroan with the Lightning Rods European the star attraction. It turns out “Summer” may not have booked in for this fixture and instead we got default Northern Ireland weather of wet, windy, cold and miserable.

1300s Steal the show at Aghadowey |
Aghadowey staged the first day of the DMC Summer Speedweekend on Saturday night where the 1300s stole the show with an epic last bend finish to the evening which seen Callum Barclay take the win in the 2015 Irish Masters. Adam Hylands retained the 2.0 Hot Rods British Championship, Dan Shannon won the ProStocks Irish Open, Winston Weir won the Lightning Rods Irish Masters and Jay Clyde took the spoils in the Ninja Karts Stars or Tomorrow trophy.

Another Wet One At Tullyroan |
It’s been a tough season at Tullyroan weather wise, I think there has been more wet meetings than dry meetings and the dry meetings there has been have been mainly cloudy, overcast, cold or threatening to rain. Saturday night followed that trend and definitely felt more like the middle of October than the middle of July, it also featured one of the very few races I’ve seen have to be abandoned because of the rain.

McMullan Hat-Trick at Tullyroan |
Greg McMullan complete a hat trick of wins in the second round of the ProStocks McElmeel Mobility services series at Tullyroan on Sunday, while there was heat and final doubles for Karl Smyth (Thunder Rods), Sam McNeice (Ninja Karts) and Drew McKeown (Junior Productions) while Ryan Stewart picked up win in a lively 1300 final.
